Before and After School Program

This program is intended for those in need of child care - please do not utilize the program unless you have an absolute need!

Attendance is limited to grades K-6 (No Preschool)

 Parents agree to:

            >Drop students off no earlier than 7:15 AM and pick up no later than 5:30 PM.

            >Send a snack for after school if desired. 

            >Visit with staff regarding concerns related to their child or the program.

            >Follow up on any communication from staff.

            >Maintain current and accurate contact information (home and work).

Students agree to:

            >Conduct themselves in a positive manner by following the school's code of conduct.

            >Not leave the room without permission of the supervisor.

Meeting Dates

The before and after school program follows the CVPS calendar.  If school is in session, the program will be in session.  If school is delayed or released early due to weather there will be no services provided.  The program will not meet during any vacation dates.

Before School Program

Students attending the Before School Program may arrive at school between 7:15-8:15.  The program will be held in the elementary computer lab.  Students need to check in with the supervisor when they arrive.  

After School Program

Students attending the After School Program shall report to the elementary computer lab immediately after being dismissed by their classroom teacher.  Students need to be picked up PROMPTLY by 5:30.  At 5:30 the supervisor will begin contacting emergency contact numbers of the children. If a student is to be picked up by someone other than a parent or legal guardian, the school will need to be informed BY the parent/legal guardian prior to this occurring.  Students will NOT be allowed to leave if parental permission is not given!

Consequences for picking up after 5:30 p.m or dropping off earlier than 7:15 am:

1st time Picking up Late - Warning

2nd time Picking up Late - 1 Week loss of Program

3rd time Picking up Late - Complete loss of Program 

Accidents or Illness

Should your child become ill or injured during the time he/she is at the Before or After School Program, parents/guardians will be notified immediately to make arrangements for the child to be picked up.  If your child did not attend school or was sent home during the day for any reason, he/she will NOT be allowed to participate in the program that day.
